DayStar

Our church that we attend is named DayStar. We have been members of another church the past several years, but it is some 40 miles away now since we moved. With the rising cost of gas, we have not been able to attend our old church as much as we would like. So we went in search for another closer to our new home. That is how we found DayStar.

Last Sunday we began a new series. Our pastor teaches in series. He picks a topic and breaks it down over a period of weeks. This new one is Titled, "The Source" We began with reading Matthew Chapter 26, which is the life of Peter. Pastor Allen pointed out that Jesus is our source of strength. Why don't he rescue us at times? He wants to expose our weaknesses so that we realize we need his power. We have Three Parts to us Body, Soul, And Spirit. He ended the service by asking, Can we trust God? We received communion last Sunday which is always a very touching moment for me. Needless to say it was an awesome service.

Upon leaving he told us of a new book, The Release of the Spirit written by Nee. In our weekly notes he told us this Sundays service would be powerful and if we had the opportunity to buy this book, do so. He would be speaking and refering to alot of things in it. Luckily I did purchase this book. Just wondering if anyone had read this book, and how it might have touched them . I will be blogging my notes from each Sunday service until we are finished.
