The week-end has flown by. Man has it been HOT here in Greensboro, NC. Our week-end started off with Friday evening. My husband and I went to our first Small Group meeting at our church. It was held at our Pastor's home. What is a Small Group some might ask? Our church is rather large. It is often hard for a church that size to keep all members as active as they would like. So they have developed a plan for small groups to meet in peoples homes through out the week. This also takes the place of a weekly night service at the church. It is really an awesome plan to keep people active in the church. So our friday night was great.
Saturday, the apartment community that my husband works for and where we live had their yearly community cook-out and pool party. It turned out to be a good day for it. Like I said, it was HOT! When we went in for the evening, we were all exhausted. I know I was anyways.
Today "Sunday", has been a beautiful day. Another hot one, but beautiful. We went to church this morning and the service was wonderful. Our paster is doing a series on, "The Source." Which refers to the Holy Spirit. That is a hard subject to teach. For a very longtime that has been rather confussing to me, but it is becoming more clear as I go through the Study book that we are reading.
So before us is a very busy week. We are low on funds and gas. Man it was crazy around here at the gas pumps friday afternoon. They shut them down and the ones that were open jacked the prices up as high as $5.00 a gallon. Some higher than that. I have prayed for this world the past several days. It is in very bad shape.
Well, I have to now prepare for our dinner and the evening. I want to be finished with everything as early as possible so that I can go to bed. Sleep is one thing I did not get alot of lastnight. My husband up until 3 am. It was like he was having an insomnia attack. Hopfully tonight he will be ready to go to bed.
