Well in just hours we will find out who the next President of the United States will be for the next four years. I declined from voting several weeks ago. Alot of people don't agree with me, but I personally do not like either of the two. So I decided to give it to the Lord. He is the only one that knows the purpose and plan for this world. All I can do is pray that whomever is the winner is a Christian and that he lives by the word and turns to God to help him make right decissions for the world and the people. I have been reading a 40 day prayer guide for the election an I would like to share the 40th day with you.
Romans13:1,7
Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whome honor.
Prayer:
Lord,
We live in a nation that is free to elect those chosen for public office. We confess that the servants who are chosen are there with Your approval. Let us faithfully support those elected to office, giving honor to their position. Let us help them fulfill the obligation and responsibility for our nation. With prayer and understanding, let us unite ourselves to the one purpose of living a life in which"In God We Trust."
Amen
One last final scripture of the election comes from Psalm 119:33-40
Teach me O'Lord, the way of Your statutes,
And I shall keep it to the end. Give me understanding and I shall keep Your law;
Indeed, I shall observe it with my whole heart.
Make me walk in the path of Your commandments,
For I delight in it.
Incline my heart to Your testimonies, And not to covetousness.
Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things,
And revive me in Your way.
Establish Your owrd to Your servant,
Who is devoted to fearing You.
Turn away my reproach which I dread, For your judgements are good.
Behold, I long for Your precepts;
Revive me in Your righteousness.
God Bless America and all those in authority.

I respectfully disagree with your choice not to vote. I think that a lot of people felt the same way and did not vote. However I feel like if all the people would have voted and voted for the Christian values that things might have been different. I am definitely disappointed in this elections outcome and I hate to see where this turn of events leads the USA. Personally the abortion issue and the gay marriage issue made choosing who to vote for rather easily for me. However at this point all we can do is pray.
Thank you for your comment. I believe your right in saying that alot of people did the same as me, declined. I just wasn't pleased with either and yes all we can do at this point is pray.
May the Lord bless us and keep us safe.
