The Day has been so long. Evening has finally came. I feel much like I have ran a marathon today. Really haven't done all that much. It is just with all my health problems my energy is not what it should be. I found out last week when I went to the doctor that on top of everything else I now became anemic. I had to start taking Iron supplements. Boy do they make my stomach hurt. I hope I will ajust to them soon. Anyways! This morning I was reading my inspirational book by Billy Graham. He just turned 90 Years old on Nov 7th. Wow! That is a long life. My he yearns for his beloved Ruth and that breaks my heart. His message for today was:
2 Corinthians5:17 If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.
Is is not logical to believe that the only One who can re-create us us the One who created us in the first Place? If your watch were out of order, you wouldn't take it to a blacksmith. If your car needed overhauling, you wouldn't take it to a plumber. If you needed an operation, you wouldn't go to a machine shop.
Our spiritual problems can only be solved by the God who created us originally. He created us in His own image and likeness, and He knows all about us.
Today by the grace of His Son, He can re-create us in the likeness of His resurrection. Through faith in Jesus Christ, we are recreated and become partakers of His life. Just as we were born again by the Spirit of God, so we grow and become more like Christ as the Spirit works in our lives.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new"(2 Cor.5:17). Don't be chained to the past. You are a new creation in Christ.
Sometimes it is very hard to remember this verse an actually believe that it could be so. The past six months the Lord has truely been working in me and my life. As the world has became even harder to live in, financial crisis continue, and on and on. I have had to no one to run to but the Almighty. Without him to meditate on daily I would be lost. Sometimes I feel so alone. I have to remind myself that I am not. He is always with me. Remember he is always with you as well. In times of trouble, you can seek comfort in our Father.
